Pureleaf Cleaning has had a makeover!

Welcome to my first ever blog! I wanted to share a little bit of what I've been up to so thought I'd start a little blog. The little blog turned into quite a long first post so congratulations if you get to the end 😊

You may have noticed that Pureleaf Cleaning has had a makeover. The total

rebrand was not a decision I took lightly, who needs sleep and free time when you have a business 😊 When I set my business up, I did not expect it take me on a slightly different path and offer opportunities which in all honesty I hadn't even considered. I have totally fallen in love with my business, the freedom of self employment (ok I'm not as keen on the mountains of admin that come with self employment but you can't have it all!). I have met some of the most incredible people on this crazy journey and appreciate all of my wonderful clients. This year though, I decided it was time to get out of my comfort zone. As much as I love domestic cleaning I decided it was time to take the next step, training in specialist and biohazard cleaning.

After extensive research I decided to take myself up to Leeds, those of you who know me know I originally come from Scunthorpe so a trip up to Leeds was a good way from Cornwall but was familiar ground. I had a few days in Leeds, which included two days training at the Extreme Cleaning Academy with the awesome Charlotte. As I arrived for the first day of training I was super nervous, wondering if I'd done the right thing, Would I be able to cope with the second day of training which was a practical day? Lets face it specialist biohazard cleaning is not for the faint hearted! and we had no idea what day two's clean would be. Within hours I was hooked I knew this was the direction I wanted to go in with my business. Charlotte was the warmest, most genuine person and her story is phenomenal. Day two, the nerves set in again and off we went for the practical element of the training. After a journey that took me almost 400 miles away from home we arrived at a supported living accommodation to carry out a bodily fluid clean. This involved cleaning an autistic gentleman's living space, in which faeces were smeared on surfaces, there was also extensive faeces in the bathroom. This clean was approached with care and compassion and an understanding of the sensory issues that often accompany individuals with Autism. Giving this person their living space back as well as peace of mind for their family was the best feeling. As I build my specialist side of the business I have been working with individuals with hoarding tendencies which I have particularly enjoyed as it taps into my academic background in psychology and counselling.

Since my training I haven't looked back, I do still offer domestic, commercial cleaning and military march out cleans but I am now able to offer a range of specialist and biohazard cleaning as well. The new services have meant that my business model has changed, and I wanted a brand to reflect this change. I'm really excited to see where this next part of my business journey takes me.
